Made this following art challenge, because I... felt like it. X3 I've been so uninspired that I grasp every idea that's remotely interesting. This one was. And so, a PINK Xir'ag was born. X3

Soookeehhhh
And Co. =P
I just reread all the Sookie Stackhouse books (for the third time XD) and have been watching the True Blood season 5. I don't really like the series anymore, because it has nothing left of the original story, but it's still... a must to watch, I can't stop... I guess I really like the actors and actresses, not always the characters. Though most of the characters are either completely different from the books (Sookie, Pam, Eric, Bill, Alcide, Tara) or they don't even exist in the books (Lafayette (He was in the books for about half a page), Jessica...). ^^;
And then I had this horrible urge to draw Sookie with "all her men". If you've only watch the series, one of these guys is a complete stranger. But in the books... YUM! Or maybe I should say rawrrrr. ;P
THIS FOLLOWING CONTAINS SPOILERS!
These are, of course, from left to right:
- Quinn the weretiger
- Bill the vampire
- Sookie Stackhouse, a waitress and a 1/8 fairy
- Eric Northman, Sheriff of Shreveport and a vampire
- Alcide, a werewolf and the packmaster of the Shreveport pack.
Ah yeah, the picture is drawn with markers and coloured in Photoshop CS2. ^_^ Took about 3 days. The colouring is a little hasty because I just don't have the patience to sit in front of the comp these days.

A new tutorial
I made a new photo editing tutorial! (Level should be Easy, but I don't know if it is, please let me know!) Because blogger resizes everything TINY, you can see the big view here at my DeviantArt gallery. =)
No new art this time, been taking photos too much... though I just scanned two new drawings too, wheee! \^_^/

Books inspire art - part 1
MacKayla Lane from the "Fever"series by Karen Marie Moning. Both girls are the same girl... she changed a "bit" during the series. I'm not gonna tell anything about it, so I won't spoil anyone.
I love the books and highly recommend them. ^_^ I love almost all the characters in the books, but Mac develops the most so she was the one I wanted to draw (first). And she's just fierce! :D
The picture is sketched with pencils, scanned and painted in Photoshop CS2 with my Wacom Intuos 3.

B & W
Now that I look at it, the background looks like a planket he's laying on... it was supposed to look like wind. Ugh. X3
Anyways, yes, Xir'ag. Been a long time again since I drew him. I think his eyes just keep on growing. Is it a good or a bad thing?
... I like how his hair turned out in this. Hurraa.
Pencil shaded and painted "over and under" in Photoshop CS2.

Spring
Doesn't look exactly like that here yet... =P There's still some snow on the ground and the lakes are frozen, but it's definitely spring. ♥
For some reason my artblock is worse than ever. I haven't drawn anything in a long long long time and have no ideas what to draw if I wanted to. ;_; Hopefully the urge for art returns in the summer. Until then, I am sewing, knitting and crocheting new summer clothes. =P

The girl is fierce!
Lisbet Salander, the coolest female character in a book/movie in... ever!
I've been planning painting her for ages, years even, but the sketches were never good enough to finish. And then one day I just started making this like a woman possessed. XD
It's not the movie version, though I completely and utterly adore Noomi Rapace's version of Lisbet. (kyaaah, Noomi! ♥), I wanted to make my own version how I saw her when I read the books.
The story being "The millenium Trilogy" with the books/movies:
1) The girl with the dragon tattoo (the original name: Men who hate women)
2) The girl who played with fire
3) The girl who kicked the hornet's nest.

Honey (bloody) honey
This was supposed to be Drizzt Do'Urden. When Sajore didn't leave me alone I agreed to paint him instead. It was gonna be a really happy picture. And then he just glared... like THAT. Ugh, that vampire is sooooo irritating. :P But I just cannot stop painting him. Waaah!

Flames!
My dragonbaby, hihihi. *^_^*
I did this from the larger picture I did a few months ago... but now I don't know where to use this... I wan't to use it somewhere ;_;
Maybe my DA journal or something? It's too tall to be a logo here. Agh! XD

Rawrrrrrrrr
I'm getting my fourth tattoo tomorrow. It's gonna be a tribal lion... I've been feeling lion'ish, which should explain this picture. XD
... I used a reference, because I'm not that good painting animals. I tried to make this look really artistic and not so realistic, but I don't think I succeeded in that.
My arm hurts and I can't paint that well, waaaah... so I kind of gave up on this too early maybe. Then again, I never planned for this painting to be anything but a little doodle to satisfy my lion-urge.
Now off to sleep, have to wake early to tomorrow to be pricked by a thousands needles and black ink, haha! XD
